Area Sales Manager / Sales Manager - Middle East Region (m/f/d) for Packaging

Location: Dubai Office

Your Challenge at Start-Packaging:

As the Area Sales Manager for the Middle East, based out of our Dubai office, you will not only drive sales of our packaging products but also act as a team leader for the region. With a focus on glass packaging and sustainable materials, your role spans across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Yemen. Demonstrated success in this role could lead to an opportunity to become the Managing Director (MD) for the region.

Your Responsibilities:

Customer Acquisition:
Identify and secure new business opportunities, customizing solutions for the Middle East market.

Sales Presentations:
Conduct persuasive presentations, creating tailored offers for clients.

Trade Shows and Events:
Enhance brand visibility at key regional events.

Market Analysis:
Monitor trends and competitors to formulate effective strategies.

CRM Utilization:
Efficiently manage customer relationships using CRM tools.

Network Building:
Develop and expand a network of sales partners.

Team Leadership:
Act as a team leader, guiding and developing the regional sales team.

Your Areas of Responsibility:

Key Account Management:
Oversee key accounts in the packaging industry.

Revenue Management:
Handle customer relationships and revenue targets.

Product Innovation:
Identify and introduce new product opportunities.

Regional Leadership:
As a team leader, mentor and develop the sales team with the potential to advance to the role of Managing Director for the region.

Your Profile:

Educational Background:
Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field.

Professional Experience:
Experience in sales, particularly in the packaging industry.

Language Skills:
Fluency in Arabic and English.

Leadership Qualities:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

Independence and Initiative:
Self-motivated with the drive to explore new business opportunities.

Requirements

Educational and Professional Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. Relevant vocational training can also be considered.

  • Extensive experience in sales, particularly in the packaging industry, with a focus on glass and sustainable materials.

Leadership and Advancement Potential:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team management and development.

  • Potential and ambition to advance to a Managing Director role based on performance.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record in customer acquisition and business development in the Middle East.

  • Experience in conducting effective sales presentations and creating customized offers.

  • Familiarity with representing a brand or products at trade shows and industry events.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in Arabic and English is essential.

Market Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of the Middle East market dynamics, including cultural and business practices in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Yemen.

  • Capability to develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the region.

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

  • Self-motivated and independent with a drive to achieve sales goals and grow the business.

CRM and Data Management:

  • Proficient in using CRM systems to manage customer interactions and sales opportunities.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Middle East region to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and conduct market research.
