About the Role

Your Challenge at Start-Packaging:

As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sales of our packaging products, particularly glass packaging and soon other sustainable materials, across the NORDIC region. Your role involves actively acquiring new customers and maintaining business relationships across Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, as well as the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland.

Your Responsibilities:

Customer Acquisition: Proactively acquire new customers in the NORDIC region, developing tailored solutions to meet their needs.

Sales Presentations:
Conduct compelling sales presentations and create qualified offers.

Trade Shows and Events:
Represent our products at regional and international trade shows and events.

Market Observation:
Monitor the market and competitors in the NORDIC region to develop strategies for market development.
CRM Usage: Utilize a modern CRM system for efficient management of customer relationships and sales opportunities.

Network Building:
Develop and expand a network of sales partners in the NORDIC region.

Your Areas of Responsibility:

Key Account Management:
Manage key accounts in the packaging, food, and beverage industry within the NORDIC region.

Revenue Responsibility:
Directly responsible for customer and revenue management of designated key accounts.

Product Potential Identification:
Identify new product potentials and introduce them to your customers to ensure long-term customer loyalty.

Your Profile:

Education and Experience:
Completed commercial education or degree with relevant professional experience in sales, preferably in the packaging industry.

Communication Skills:
Excellent communication skills in at least one Scandinavian language and English.

Independence and Commitment:
Work independently and are motivated to develop new business opportunities in the NORDIC region.

Requirements for the Area Sales Manager / Sales Manager - NORDIC Region (m/f/d) for Packaging

Educational and Professional Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. Alternatively, significant vocational training in a relevant commercial discipline.

  • Demonstrated professional experience in sales, ideally within the packaging industry, with a focus on glass packaging and sustainable materials.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record in customer acquisition and business relationship management, particularly in B2B sales.

  • Ability to conduct compelling sales presentations and create tailored offers, both in-person and online.

  • Experience in representing products at trade shows and industry events.

Market Knowledge and Strategy Development:

  • Strong understanding of the market dynamics and competition within the NORDIC region.

  • Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and market penetration plans.

CRM and Sales Management:

  • Proficiency in using modern CRM systems to manage customer relationships and track sales opportunities.

  • Skilled in network building and maintaining a robust sales partner network in the NORDIC region.

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, proficient in at least one Scandinavian language and English.

  • Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to work autonomously while achieving sales targets.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.

Cultural Competence:

  • Understanding of the cultural and business nuances of the NORDIC region, encompassing Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and the territories of the Faroe Islands, Greenland, and Åland.

Willingness to Travel:

  • Availability to travel extensively across the NORDIC region and participate in various trade shows and business events.
